Welcome to the Spicewood VFD and EMS Website. 

On behalf of the men and women of the Spicewood VFD,  we are pleased to provide you with information about our organization and the services we have provided since 1976 to the residents, businesses, and industry of Spicewood, TX, as well as (SAFETY TIPS) that you can use in your daily personal and professional life.

The Spicewood VFD's mission is  "TO PROTECT:  ENVIRONMENT - LIFE - PROPERTY"  as needed within the town of Spicewood and the surrounding area's of Burnet County.  We strive to provide excellence in such services as Public Fire Education, Inspections, Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials Containment in addition to our Emergency Medical Services.    Please feel free to explore our (BY-LAWS) at your convenience.

There are approximately 300  (VFD) and (EMS)  alarms transmitted each year calling on the services of the department, dispatched by both the town of Spicewood and Burnet County dispatchers. The various types of calls include residential, commercial and campus fire alarms, auto accidents, structure fires, car fires, minor fires in dumpsters or trash, wild land and brush fires around Spicewood, hazardous material incidents, water rescue,  rope rescue, confined space rescue, gas checks and various other community needs. 

Fire fighters in general respond to their station for all calls, and fully manned trucks leave the stations as crews arrive. PLEASE BE ALERT and COURTEOUS of all emergency vehicles approaching intersections, from behind you, going around corners or  other large obstructions - we may be going to your home or business!
